Electronic Poker is a beloved game that can be bet on in casinos around the world, or in your house on your personal computer, through a net account. The regulations are absolutely simple and involve the player trying to get the greatest assemblage of cards possible in order to come away with money. On this account it is much the same as a normal game of poker, without the interaction with competing players. Of course, techniques used in a real-life game of poker, like bluffing, will be useless here.

The game of Electronic Poker begins when the player inserts credits (whether it’s tokens, tickets or cash) into the video poker machine and presses the play button. A five card hand will be "distributed" on the screen.

The Video Poker game also has buttons with ‘hold’ written on them, and gamblers should now choose which cards to hold and which to throw away. For the cards the enthusiast wishes to keep, the ‘hold’ buttons should be pressed so that they illuminate. The player can choose to keep any amount of cards they want, whether it is all or none.

After the player has chosen which cards she would like to keep, the player will then press ‘deal’, at which point any new cards will be given out if desired. The hand is now finished, with the Electronic Poker machine scanning the cards to see if it matches any of the winning hands printed on the pay out schedule.

Typically, the lowest winning hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the award money increasing for each and every better hand. A list of common winning hands starts with jacks or better, and moves on to 2 pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It should be known that the payment schedule can vary from game to game, so that knowledgeable players are able to select the most profitable machine each and every time.

After the initial round has completed, the player can either decide to stay on in an attempt to increase their winnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any money that they may have won. Additionally, some versions of the game give the gambler an opportunity to double their wins, in which instance another round is played. There are also variations among specific machines, with some decks of cards having wild cards and other varying aspects to increase playability.
