Electronic Poker is a beloved game that is able to be bet on in casinos across the world, or in your house on your PC, through a net connection. The rules are very straightforward and involve the player attempting to achieve the greatest mixture of cards achievable in order to come away with money. On this account it’s very similar as a classic game of poker, minus the line of contact with any other players. Of course, tactics employed during a physical game of poker, such as bluffing, will be useless here.

The game of Electronic Poker begins when the bettor puts credits (whether it is tokens, tickets or money) into the video poker machine and presses the deal button. A 5 card hand will be "dealt" on the video screen.

The Video Poker game also has buttons with ‘hold’ printed on them, and enthusiasts should now pick which cards to keep and which to discard. For the cards the player wishes to keep, the ‘hold’ buttons must be pressed so that they light up. The player can decide to keep any number of cards they want, from all to none.

After the player has selected which cards he would like to retain, the player will then press ‘draw’, which will mean that any new cards are handed out if desired. The game is now completed, with the Electronic Poker machine scanning the cards to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands listed in the payout schedule.

Generally, the minimum succeeding hand on a Video Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money increasing for each better hand. A list of common winning hands begins with jacks or better, moving on to 2 pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It goes without saying that the pay out schedule can vary from machine to machine, so that knowledgeable gamblers are agile enough to choose the most money-making ones each instance.

After the initial round has completed, the player can either choose to remain on in an attempt to increase their earnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any credits that they may have won. Further, several versions of the game allow the player a chance to double their profits, in which instance a further game is played. There are also differences between individual machines, with some virtual decks including wild cards and other varying elements to enhance playability.
