Electronic Poker is a beloved game that can be gambled on in casinos throughout the world, or alternatively at home on your computer, through a web connection. The regulations are very simple and consist of the player attempting to get the best combination of cards as you can in order to win money. In this respect it’s very similar as a classic game of poker, without the line of contact with other players. Of course, methods used in a real-life game of poker, such as tricking, will be useless here.

The game of Electronic Poker starts when the player puts credits (either tokens, credit slips or money) into the machine and presses the play button. A five card hand will then be "handed out" on the video screen.

The Video Poker game also has buttons with ‘hold’ printed on them, and gamblers will need to now choose which cards to hold and which to discard. For the cards the gambler wishes to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons need to be pressed so that they light up. The player can choose to keep any number of cards they wish, whether it is all or none.

After the enthusiast has chosen which cards she wishes to keep, the player will then press ‘deal’, which will mean that any fresh cards are dealt if desired. The hand is now completed, with the Video Poker machine analyzing the hand to see if it matches any of the winning hands listed in the payout schedule.

Generally, the lowest succeeding hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money getting larger for each better hand. A common list of winning hands begins with jacks or better, moving on to 2 pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It should be known that the payout schedule can vary from machine to machine, so that experienced players are able to pick the most money-making game each instance.

As soon as the first round has finished, the player can either decide to remain on in an attempt to increase their earnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any cash that they may have won. Additionally, a few versions of the game allow the bettor a chance to increase their winnings, in which instance another game is played. There are also differences between individual machines, with some decks of cards having wild cards and other varying elements to enhance playability.
