Video Poker is a favored game that usually will be enjoyed in casinos around the world, or in your house on your personal computer, through a net connection. The game rules are absolutely straightforward and consist of the player trying to achieve the best combination of cards as you can in order to win cash. In this respect it is much the same as a classic game of poker, apart from the interaction with competing players. Of course, methods used in a physical game of poker, such as bluffing, will be useless in Video Poker.

The game of Electronic Poker starts when the bettor puts credits (whether it is tokens, tickets or cash) into the machine and pushes the draw button. A hand of five cards will be electronically ‘dealt’ on the screen.

The Electronic Poker game also has buttons with ‘hold’ written on them, and players will need to now pick which cards to hold and which to discard. For the cards the enthusiast wishes to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons need to be pressed so that they light up. The player can choose to keep any number of cards they wish, from all to none.

After the bettor has decided on which cards he or she wishes to retain, they should press ‘deal’, which will mean that any fresh cards will be needed they will be dealt. The game is now completed, with the Electronic Poker machine analyzing the hand to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands printed on the pay out schedule.

Typically, the minimum winning hand on a Video Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money getting larger for each and every better hand. A list of common winning hands begins with jacks or better, moving on to two pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It is obvious that the payment schedule can range from machine to machine, so that discerning players are able to choose the most beneficial game each time.

After the first round has played out, the player can either decide to remain on and try to to increase their winnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any cash that might have been won. Additionally, several styles of the game give the player an opportunity to double their wins, in which case a further round is played. There are also variations among specific games, with some virtual decks including wild cards and other differing aspects to enhance playability.
